Danish artist Rasmus Stride finds inspiration in the space between digital and reality. Looking into how 3D can work as a transformational tool to enhance a dreamlike state and evoke reminiscence thoughts of something recognizable but still slightly otherworldly. By using mood boards and intuition he walks the road of dream and reality through his visually pleasing worlds.

I have worked with spaces and stage-design for many years but it wasn't until I started experimenting with CGI and 3D I felt like I found my true “artistic tool”. During the pandemic my interest spiked when I found I could express myself and create a world that I could not physically inhabit, which just made me so fascinated. It turned into many hours of daydreaming away into impossible rooms with impossible sculptures and lights.

In 2019 I quit my consultancy job in Oslo and moved to Berlin in the hope of changing my direction in life and learning more about art. I had a brief encounter with performance design and the new city really helped me change my outlook on what I wanted to do and where my true passion lies. It might be a bit of a weird thing, but at the moment I spend so much time in front of a screen, which I initially wanted to break with, but it is in a totally different way. My life has become increasingly tactile and I feel like a “Digital Craftsperson''.

I love working with something that is super recognizable but has an element of something otherworldly about it”
